Join Us Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 for a taste of two of Chile's finest estates at 6:00pm-7:30pm for $25. These wines are the essence of the region—bold, complex, true. We will be tasting the two iconic Chilean first Growths. Remarkable wines with an equally remarkable story. In 1995 Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick pioneered an international joint venture with a very challenging goal: to reach the full potential of Chile’s wine country and to create a world-class Icon-level wine like none other in Chile. Sharing their dream, efforts and dedication, in 1997 they released the first vintage of Seña (1995), Chile’s first icon wine. This marked a milestone and initiated the path for making ultra-premium wines in Chile. The wines will flow, the empanadas will be enjoyed, and the night will be simple and unforgettable. Only 30 spots available, so we highly recommend booking tickets in advance. ABOUT THE PRODUCER Seña was created as a joint venture between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi back in 1995, with the dream of making a wine that would show Chile’s full potential, a wine that would be welcomed, in time, among the world’s First Growths. Modeled on a Bordeaux style, it would have a Chilean soul given by its Carmenere variety, grown under biodynamic farming principles in the Aconcagua Valley. Set in the heart of Chile’s Aconcagua Valley, at a place called Ocoa, lies a 42-acre parcel planted to Bordeaux varieties – including carménère – the lesser known “6th grape” of Bordeaux that has since come to shine in Chile. Robert’s son, Tim, worked tirelessly with Eduardo to find this perfect spot – taking three years to dig soil pits all over the valley before settling here. Sustainability was always going to be a focus – so a site that was somewhat remote from the potentially damaging choices of other vintners was decided to be ideal. It is a spot of unsurpassing beauty – on the mid-slope of a volcanic ridge – with a mix of gravelly, rocky volcanic and alluvial soils, and an interspersing of clay and loam...in other words, an ideal location that melds the soils of Bordeaux with the hillsides of Napa Valley. Only 30 spots available, so we highly recommend booking tickets in advance. We look forward to seeing you! |
