"Scott grew up learning wine from Jacky, who took special inspiration from the wave of organic and biodynamic producers out of France and Europe in the mid- & late nineties. Her dream to follow this thread brought our family to live on the fourteen acres we farm in an old benchland corner of Saint Helena. Organic practice, regenerative and low-input approaches drive our farming, while native fermentation, low intervention, and patience define our winemaking. Our wines are aged and/or bottled with minimal SO2 when necessary. Nothing else is added or taken away. Purity and liveliness are the aim.

This wine captures what is classic about Napa Valley Cabernet. Yes, fruit, and also: savory and aromatic qualities, freshness and tension. It’s varietally true. Here we find contemporary Napa character reaching back to take its cues from the '70s Napa greats and a gateway to what we love about Cabernet Sauvignon.

Method: Native fermentation, 21-30 days on skins in stainless steel tanks. 20 months in French oak, 17% new barrels, minimal racking, minimal SO2 added. No fining or filtration.
