Distilled by Starward Distillery in Melbourne, Australia, from 100% locally grown malted barley
Double distilled in copper pot stills
Aged 4–5 years in ex–red wine casks; non-age statement
Blend of 28 barrels
A warm nose of poached pear, vanilla curd, cardamom, and light cedar precede a luxurious palate of raspberry, wild honey, clove, and graham cracker
Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV
For the third edition of Pinhook’s Collaboration Series, Pinhook Co-Founder and Master Blender Sean Josephs teamed up with fellow sommelier Jordan Salcito—an internationally recognized sommelier most known for her time at some of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants, including Restaurant Daniel, Eleven Madison Park, and Momofuku—to blend this Australian single malt whisky. This unique collaboration is composed of Starward Distillery malt whisky aged entirely in red wine casks, highlighting Josephs and Salcito’s shared wine backgrounds and love for great whisky.
