Domaine Bosquet des Papes Description
Bosquet des Papes Châteauneuf du Pape Tradition is a nice red purple color with shiny highlights. On the nose, it spreads aromas of little red berries. It has a sweeping silky smooth mouth.
Ideally be served with game.

Moving to the bottled wines and starting with the base 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape, this blend of 75% Grenache, 11% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre and the rest a mix of permitted varieties, was only 40% destemmed and brought up all in foudre and older barrels. A very classic, old-school bouquet of red and black currants, sappy green herbs, cedarwood, ground pepper, and smoked game gives way to a medium to full-bodied Châteauneuf du Pape that has a lively spine of acidity, firm tannins, and a great finish. This is classical old-school Châteauneuf du Pape of all the way and is going to benefit from 2 to 4 years of bottle age and keep for 15 years or more.
Wine Spectator: 93 Points
Solidly packed, with a lively black licorice frame around a core of lightly steeped plum and blackberry fruit. Light singed alder and garrigue notes play out through the finish, with the fruit keeping the upper hand. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Best from 2021 through 2033.
