Nuits -Saint-Georges 1er cru Aux Crasis tasty and dynamic, always with a nice balance. The flesh, very present, with its notes of juicy black fruits (blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants) is enriched with floral (elderberry, heather) and spicy nuances. The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Cras Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru is superb. Dark and mysterious, the Cras offers up a beguiling range of dark berry fruit intermingled with cloves, new leather and incense, all of which help to convey a sense of sepia-toned, virile intensity. Large and ample on the palate but also refined for Nuits, the Cras boasts notable depth and very fine balance. It is unquestionably one of the finer wines in this range. Drink: 2025-2029.
