Giacomo Fenocchio - Langhe Freisa 2021
Giacomo Fenocchio Description
Giacomo Fenocchio's Freisa is produced with 100% Freisa grapes. Freisa is a red grape variety grown between Asti, Turin and Cuneo. Fenocchio cultivates half a hectare of it in Monforte d'Alba, in a hilly area about 300 metres above sea level, with exposure to the East and Helvetian soil with clayey sediments, blue marl and tuff. The harvest takes place in early October. The vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks, without the addition of yeasts. The refinement is carried out 6 months in steel, 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels, with a further maturation in the bottle, before being placed on the market.
FREISA GIACOMO FENOCCHIO: TASTING
Giacomo Fenocchio's Freisa Langhe is presented in the glass with a beautiful intense ruby red. Typical notes of spices, red fruit and flowers on the nose. In the mouth, it is fresh, slightly tannic and extends to a juicy fruit finish. Nice to accompany it with exotic spicy dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala, or more simply some garlic naan.
