Lancelot Description
Bright yellow gold with green reflections in the glass. At the nose yeasty with reminiscent of butter and brioche that lies over a delicate floral tapestry. It is lingering in the palate with a clean freshness without any sharp acidity. Perfectly to be sipped by itself or accompanying many different preparations.
This comes from vines averaging 40 years of age growing along the Côte des Blancs as well as from Monthelon and Mancy, two villages south of Epernay in the Côteaux Sud d’Epernay. Aged on its lees for 30 months before disgorgement. Dosage is 7 grams.
A member of the Les Artisans du Champagne, Gilles Lancelot is considered among the best growers in all of Champagne. He hails from a long line of growers; his great grandfather was the Mumms vineyard manager between the wars while also maintaining his own vineyards in Cramant.

This blends estate parcels of chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the Côteaux Sud d’Epernay, coming into a soft alignment of lime, sweet mint and Marcona almond. The texture is unctuous but the impression is dry.
