Lorelle Description
The fruit for Lorelle Pinot Grigio comes from Den Hoed Vineyard, within the Columbia Valley AVA. It is a little cooler than other locations in the area, giving the wine unique freshness and bright acidity.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Grigio
Elaboration: The fruit is harvested and pressed at a low temperature immediately after harvest to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The fruit is chilled in stainless steel to fermentation temperatures, around 50 degrees.The wine is cold fermented, which is typical for whites, to protect the volatile aromatic esters. The yeast used for the Pinot Grigio is Prise de Mousse.
Tasting Notes: Flavors of pear, stone fruit and green apple. This wine is conventionally dry, but has enough ripeness to balance the wine’s natural acidity making it well-rounded and easy to enjoy.
