Louis Benjamin Didier Dagueneau Description
A blend from several vineyards of younger vines. Barrel-fermented and aged half in stainless steel and half in large, neutral barrels. Includes fruit from Pur Sang, Buisson Renard and Silex cuvées. Easily the most famous domaine in Pouilly Fume, Dagueneau is known world wide for Sauvignon Blanc that is layered, complex and very age-worthy. This is the "entry" level cuvee. Simply the best Pouilly-Fumé produced.

This sample of 2022 Blanc etc. was on the verge of bottling when tasted in July 2024 after the usual lengthy maturation period. It’s a ripe, silky, concentrated wine produced from vines planted on both silex and marl. It is light in body, almost airy, finely detailed and delicately textured. There is nectarine fruit and no greens here. A little more length would elevate further.
