This wine has been given time to mature in bottle and still has years to go. Cedar, pencil shavings, crushed rock and firm tannin accentuate the savory, complex concentration and intensity. Black olive, grilled meat and game contribute additional flavor and texture. Enjoy best from 2026–2036. Virginie Boone

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard from Oakville is blended with 15% Petit Verdot and offers the power and elegance of the best Cabernets from the 2016 vintage. Deep ruby in color, its aromas slowly unfurl from a core of Morello cherries to nuances of cigar wrappers and meaty undertones. The full-bodied palate is concentrated yet weightless, with pixelated tannins, seamless acidity and a very long finish with latent savory undertones. This powerful Cabernet has much more to offer as it develops in bottle and will be long lived in the cellar. 224 cases were made.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Petit Verdot. The fruit here is more forward aromatically, with cassis, graphite, and candied flowers. The palate is velveteen with fine grained tannins, mocha, blackberry, and mineral earth. Drink 2024-2042.
