Brimming with character and complexity, Dauvissat's 2020 Petit Chablis transcends its humble appellation. Offering up aromas of crisp green apple, citrus zest, oyster shell and mandarin orange, it's medium to full-bodied, taut and chiseled, with racy acids and a pungently saline finish.

From a plot above Les Clos, this is another intriguing Petit Chablis with some spice notes on the nose, then fleshy and ripe on the palate, showing zesty lemon and lime fruit. A forward style that is almost ready now, there is a lot of complexity here with good acidity and mineral notes keeping the palate fresh.

An ultra-fresh nose combines notes of citrus and apple with those of iodine and mineral reduction. The cool, delicious and vibrant middleweight flavors possess a lovely texture that carries over to the refreshing citrus and saline-tinged finale. This is very good and wine that should be approachable young if desired.
