Tenuta di Trinoro Description
The red wine Campo di Tenaglia by Tenuta di Trinoro is a wine produced by Andrea Franchetti, who in the 90s created a model estate, with the aim of producing great wines. The choice fell on a wild and uncultivated area of Val d'Orcia, deep inland Tuscany. Due to its climate and soil composition, the territory has proven to be particularly suited to the main international varieties and in particular to Bordeaux vines.
The wine is a pure Cabernet Franc, whose grapes are fermented for 15 days in steel tanks. The wine then ages for 5 months in French oak barrels and then remains another year in cement tanks.
It has an intense ruby red color and conquers with notes of violet, red and black flowers, as well as spicy and mineral hints. The sip reveals a beautiful structure and concentration, with fine tannins and a persistent finish.
To be paired with red meats and game, as well as with dishes that use mushrooms in the preparation.
