Tomei Description
Ruby red color with purple reflections. On the farm there are hints of fresh red fruits, strawberries, morello cherries and chinotto. In the mouth the sip is tonic, lively, with a progression that places a juicy and decisive fruit at the centre, with hints of medicinal herbs and spicy references. Excellent accompaniment to first courses based on ragù and elaborate sauces, grilled red meats and buffalo, mature cheeses soft and blue-veined.
Black Berry vine, of very ancient origins which was used for the production of Cecubo wine and Setinum in the Sezze area. Its origins are lost in the mists of time, so much so that there is even trace of it in the texts of Horace, Pliny, Juvenal, Columella and many other ancient Latin authors. In Ode 14, Horace speaks of its value, alluding to the intense red color, which, falling to the ground, even dyed the mosaic on the floor. The Grappolo presents itself as medium-large size with thick, pruinose-skinned grapes.
