"Rick says that 'Callie' & 'Star' - his cats - form the name of Calstar Cellars. How cute.
Not the coolest label, but in my opinion the coolest wine in Russian River. Rick releases his Pinots with a touch of age on them. Old school Russian River here. Crunchy, dusty, red berries and a sapidity that European drinkers will love.
Calstar wines are made in super-small batches at the Ross Road Custom Crush in Sebastapol, Sonoma, CA."
